Four weeks of intake, sleep satisfaction, and melatonin
Would glucoraphanin intake change outcomes in healthy adults who feel their sleep quality is poor?
Human · randomized double-blind pilot trial

Key findings
Four-week sleep assessment
In a pilot trial of 18 adults, sleep satisfaction and melatonin markers in the intake group increased from baseline. The difference from the placebo group was not statistically significant.

Detailed results
Before-and-after measures in the intake group
The sleep satisfaction VAS changed from 4.8±1.6 to 6.4±1.9, and the time-integrated melatonin concentration changed from 109.7±80.0 to 143.5±79.9pg/mL·h.
Study design
Eighteen healthy adults were divided into sprout extract and placebo groups. They consumed 30mg/day of glucoraphanin for four weeks, and sleep satisfaction, melatonin, and prostaglandin markers were compared.
