A study finding less pain on muscle pressure two days after exercise
Could broccoli-derived compounds help with sore muscles after exercise?
Human · small randomized pilot trial

Key findings
Two post-exercise pain assessments
In a pilot study of 16 young men, the intake group reported less pain on muscle pressure two days after exercise. Pain on elbow extension did not differ.
Study design
Participants were divided into two groups and eccentric arm exercise induced muscle soreness. Assessors blinded to assignment rated pain on pressure and on elbow extension separately. No placebo was used.
